A Lighting Manufacturer Built Around Product Programs

LIBO works with lighting brands, distributors, retailers and project suppliers that need more than a single fixture. A customer may source under cabinet lights in several lengths, matching ceiling products for the same residential program, or outdoor fixtures that share the same finish and control method.

Standard models can be reviewed for direct sourcing, while selected platforms can be adjusted in size, wattage, CCT, mounting structure, control function and packaging after the electrical and mechanical limitations are confirmed.

From LED Driver Programs to Complete Lighting Products

2004

Company Established

Early factory establishment

LIBO was established in Foshan with a focus on electrical and lighting-related manufacturing.

2006

U.S.-Standard Driver Programs

LED driver and electronic components

Experience with U.S.-standard driver programs created an early understanding of input voltage, dimming behavior, temperature limits and electronic compatibility.

2015

Expansion Into Complete LED Fixtures

Complete LED fixture assembly

The business expanded from electronic components into complete LED fixtures, bringing housing design, LED integration, assembly and testing into the same development process.

Today

Residential, Outdoor & Commercial

Modern lighting laboratory and product range

LIBO now supports lighting products for kitchens, bathrooms, ceilings, building entrances, landscapes and hotel guest rooms.

120V Residential Products

120V Residential Products

Reviewing TRIAC dimming compatibility and standard junction-box mounting.

120–277V Commercial

120–277V Commercial

Evaluating multi-volt drivers and 0–10V control integration within the housing.

Dimming Control

TRIAC and 0–10V Dimming

Testing dimming curves and flicker performance against North American dimmer switches.

Retail Packaging

Retail and Project Packaging

Confirming instruction language, carton markings and inner protection methods.

Product Review Based on North American Requirements

North American lighting projects are not reviewed by appearance alone. A residential fixture may require 120V TRIAC dimming, junction-box mounting and field-selectable CCT, while a commercial version may use 120–277V input and 0–10V control. These differences affect the driver, wiring space, installation accessories and certification scope.

For retail programs, instruction language, carton markings, inner protection and mounting hardware may need to be confirmed together with the fixture. Reviewing these items before sample approval reduces packaging changes and accessory shortages when the order moves into production.

Product Categories Supported by Shared Engineering and Manufacturing Resources

LED Under Cabinet Lighting

LED Under Cabinet Lighting

Multiple lengths, linking methods and wiring configurations can be reviewed within the same product family. Cabinet depth, mounting-hole position and cable exit are checked before the housing is confirmed.

Recessed and Ceiling Lighting

Recessed and Ceiling Lighting

Canless, junction-box mounted, regressed and gimbal structures are reviewed around the required ceiling opening, driver box, wattage and dimming configuration.

Bath Vanity Lights and LED Mirrors

Bath Vanity Lights & LED Mirrors

Projects can include dimming, CCT adjustment, touch control and defogging, with frame dimensions and wall mounting reviewed against the bathroom layout.

Outdoor Lighting

Outdoor Lighting

Sealing joints, back plates, cable entries, sensors and finishes are reviewed for the installation environment before waterproof or salt-spray testing.

Landscape Lighting

Landscape Lighting

Low-voltage products can be reviewed with ground stakes, surface mounting, RGB+CCT or 2.4G group control according to the landscape layout.

Hospitality Reading Lights

Hospitality Reading Lights

Headboard dimensions, mounting holes, adjustable reading heads and charging functions are reviewed together because the available internal space affects both structure and wiring.

Structural and electronic engineering review

Structural and Electronic Decisions Are Reviewed Together

When a customer provides a drawing, reference sample or product brief, the structural review covers housing dimensions, material thickness, mounting holes, cable routing, driver space and assembly access. These details determine whether the fixture can be installed and maintained in the intended cabinet, ceiling or wall condition.

The electronic review checks input voltage, LED load, dimming method, sensor logic, USB-C or outlet configuration and temperature limits. A control function cannot be added independently if the housing does not provide enough space or the certification scope does not cover the revised electrical structure.

Structural Design Electronic Development LED Board & Driver Integration Prototype Assembly Drawing and BOM Review

ODM Development From Product Brief to Production Transfer

Requirement Review

1. Requirement Review

The customer can provide a cabinet drawing, target dimensions, electrical specification, reference product or physical sample. The first review identifies which items require a new housing, tooling modification or only a component change.

Structural and Electronic Development

2. Structural & Electronic Development

Housing, mounting, heat path, LED layout, driver position and control components are developed as one configuration rather than added separately.

Prototype and Sample Review

3. Prototype & Sample Review

The first sample is checked for assembly, appearance, wattage, CCT, dimming, sensor response and installation fit. Requested changes are recorded before the approval sample is prepared.

Testing and Documentation

4. Testing & Documentation

Photometric data, temperature, aging, flicker, waterproof, salt-spray or packaging tests can be arranged according to the fixture type and project risk.

Production Transfer

5. Production Transfer

Approved drawings, BOM, finish, electrical components, accessories and packaging requirements are transferred to production so that the bulk order follows the confirmed sample configuration.

Testing Selected Around the Product’s Actual Risk

An indoor cabinet light and an outdoor wall light do not require the same validation plan. For cabinet products, wattage, CCT, CRI, temperature rise, dimming and linking behavior are central to sample approval. Outdoor products add sealing, water entry, coating and corrosion concerns.

Packaging validation becomes important when the fixture includes a large lens, mirror, glass component or long housing. Drop testing can be used to review whether the inner protection and carton structure are suitable for retail distribution or parcel delivery.

Integrating Sphere Photometric Testing

Photometric Testing

Measures lumen output, CCT, CRI and light distribution for the approved configuration.

IES File and Test Report

IES File & Test Report

Provides photometric data for project review and lighting layout.

Temperature and Aging Test

Temperature & Aging Test

Checks driver, LED board and internal wiring during extended operation.

Waterproof Test

Waterproof Test

Reviews sealing joints, cable entries and enclosure construction according to the required test condition.

Salt Spray Test

Salt Spray Test

Evaluates coating and exposed metal parts for humid or coastal applications.

Packaging Drop Test

Packaging Drop Test

Reviews carton, foam, inner protection and fixture movement during impact.

Production Based on the Approved Sample and Specification

After sample approval, the confirmed housing, LED board, driver, wiring, finish and accessories are transferred into the production documents. For a series with several lengths or sizes, component selection and CCT need to remain aligned so that one model does not appear visibly different from the rest of the range.

Assembly, functional checks and aging are completed according to the product configuration. Packaging materials and inner protection are reviewed against the approved carton, particularly for mirrors, long under cabinet lights and decorative fixtures with lenses or glass parts.

Product Decisions Require More Than One Department

A customized fixture may involve structural engineering, electronics, sourcing, certification, production and packaging at the same time. Adding USB-C and an AC outlet to an under cabinet light affects the internal layout, driver selection, housing openings, label content and test plan.

Cross-department review helps identify these dependencies before the order reaches production. The objective is not to add every requested function, but to confirm that the final configuration can be assembled, tested and repeated in bulk production.

Product Feedback Collected Beyond the Factory

Trade shows allow customers to review fixture size, finish, mounting structure and light output directly rather than relying only on catalog images. Feedback collected at the product table can be transferred into sample changes, new functions or packaging requirements after feasibility review.

For buyers developing a product range, face-to-face review is also useful for comparing several sizes and confirming which features should remain common across the series.
